[V] Sofyank & Louis Koo’s Video Collaboration Hits 1 Million Views!

The appearance of Hong Kong legendary actor, Louis Koo in a one-minute promotional video alongside famous influencer, Sofyank sparked a phenomenon, amassing over one million views in just 12 hours!

Through the video uploaded in conjunction with the launch of the movie Behind The Shadow, Louis surprised many when he stepped out of the movie poster and said, “Jom support!” in a charming Cantonese accent.

According to Sofyank, whose real name is Mohamad Sofian Abdullah, 29, the opportunity to collaborate with an actor he watched since childhood was an extraordinary experience.

“Louis Koo is one of the actors I watched growing up.

Being on the same screen as him felt like a dream,” he said.

Although they were only given 20 minutes for the shoot, Sofyank praised Louis’s professional and friendly attitude, as well as his spontaneous ideas during the filming session.

“We asked him to say a simple line in Malay.

He immediately agreed and tried his best. That made us all feel appreciated,” he added.

Interestingly, the movie Behind The Shadow, starring Louis Koo, also features local actors and was filmed entirely in Malaysia.

“When a major Chinese film like this chooses Malaysia as its 100 percent filming location, it’s a huge honor for our industry. I hope more international filmmakers see the potential of local talent,” said Sofyank.

Behind The Shadow, which highlights a story of crime and mysterious investigation, will begin screening in cinemas nationwide starting June 12. – BOOM!
