Popular singer Andi Bernadee, or Muhammad Andi Azrul Andi Mapangile, 34, is currently receiving treatment in hospital after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland).
His condition reportedly began to deteriorate, causing swelling in his neck and body tremors.
On the third day of treatment, Andi shared the difficult experience he has been going through.
He explained that the severe anxiety symptoms linked to hyperthyroidism, along with the physical and mental strain, required medical assistance.
“My heart was racing intensely. Even when I was asleep, I would wake up suddenly. I lost weight, and my body kept trembling…” he said.
He also described the pain he felt when trying to swallow anything.
“I couldn’t do it swallowing saliva, drinking water… If I drank, it felt like something was tearing inside. Even eating had to be done in three steps,” he shared. -Boom!
