Actor Fattah Amin revealed he never imagined becoming a singer, let alone recording his own song.
Fattah, 34, said the world of singing was initially just a hobby he enjoyed during karaoke sessions with friends.
“It started in a karaoke room. I didn’t learn to sing from a young age or dream of becoming a singer. It was all a hobby. Friends were the starting point.
“They said my voice was okay, so I went ‘jamming’. Don’t know if they were flattering or what,” he said jokingly during an appearance on the Sembang Selebriti podcast hosted by Dina Nazir and Falyq Hikyle.

Fattah said after getting encouragement and an opportunity from a recording company, he finally released his debut single Wanita Terakhir, which later received a warm response from fans.
“I was like, can I really sing?
But it was my blessing that people liked the song,” he said, noting that acting was still his main focus at the time.
In the same session, Fattah also shared stories about his life before becoming an artist. He said he had done various jobs like being a computer technician and helping his uncle sell at a night market before joining the Hero Remaja talent search.

“My family wasn’t well-off, so I did all sorts of jobs.
Then I joined Hero Remaja. I was an underdog contestant, not even in the Top 3. But alhamdulillah, I was blessed to become the champion,” he said.
That success opened the door to the world of acting and fame through hit dramas like Suri Hati Mr. Pilot. – BOOM!
