Actress Uqasha Senrose has alleged that her husband, Kamal Adli, committed domestic violence throughout their four years of marriage, including while she was pregnant.

According to Uqasha, she had remained silent about her husband’s hot-tempered behaviour to protect his dignity, but could no longer bear the emotional burden, which compelled her to speak out.
“I tried to ask for a separation in a good way because I didn’t want to reveal the truth. I wanted to protect his reputation. But he hit me, abused me physically using his hands and feet scolded and shouted at me from the beginning of our marriage until these four years,” she was quoted as saying by Mstar.

Uqasha made the statement following the report of the Reconciliation Committee (JKP) proceedings at the Syariah Subordinate Court of the Federal Territories, Kuala Lumpur, today.
She confirmed that she possesses photographic and video evidence related to the allegations. She added that four police reports have been lodged three by herself and one by her mother.

In addition, Uqasha claimed that Kamal failed to fulfil his responsibilities in providing financial support, including necessities such as diapers and milk, and that she bore the house rental expenses on her own.
However, Kamal denied all the allegations and stated that he is willing to swear on the Quran to affirm his innocence.

The court has set 12 January for hakam (arbitration) proceedings between Uqasha and Kamal after the reconciliation process for their divorce case reached a deadlock. -Boom!
