The winner of Indonesian Idol season 13, Shabrina Leanor, boldly responded to criticism from some netizens who questioned her fuller figure.
During a live session on her TikTok account, the 25-year-old singer asserted that she is not ashamed of her physical appearance, even considering the negative comments as no big deal.
“Many say I should be ashamed of a body like this, sorry… I’m not ashamed of my body,” she said firmly.
“If you have a problem with my body, that’s your problem, not mine,” she added.
At the same time, Shabrina expressed gratitude to those who claim to ‘care’ about her appearance but refused to change herself just to meet external pressures.
“Thank you for all the advice, but if I change to please others, that’s not good.
I won’t undergo any cosmetic surgery,” she said.
Shabrina also emphasized that she won’t change just to satisfy netizens and remains confident in being herself, even if she’s seen as not meeting the usual beauty standards in the entertainment world.
“If I’m not perfect like other idols, it’s because I’m just being myself.
I value my face and body. Until now, I’ve never had any surgical treatments.
