Cycling in extreme heat is no easy feat. That’s the challenge currently faced by actor Amar Baharin, 40, alongside Datuk Muhammad Muqharabbin Mokhtarrudin, who are now on day 18 of their cycling mission to the Holy Land of Mecca.
According to Amar, temperatures reaching 51 degrees Celsius while they cycled 110 kilometers from Dubai to Abu Dhabi had a significant impact on his body.

“The weather was too hot for our journey from Dubai to Abu Dhabi today, hitting 51 degrees Celsius.
Alhamdulillah, we completed 110 kilometers of cycling for today, but my body feels a bit weak,” wrote Amar on Instagram.
Due to the extreme weather, Amar admitted he needed to rest longer to regain energy before continuing the journey.
In a post that also showcased their travel moments, Amar couldn’t hide his longing for his family.

“We need time to recover from facing the extreme weather in the Arab lands.
Pray that our journey is made easy by Allah. I miss my wife and kids,” he expressed, referring to actress Amyra Rosli and their two children.
Fellow artists and fans flooded the comment section with words of encouragement and prayers for Amar and his team to stay strong until they reach their destination.
For info, their cycling mission began on April 28 from Perlis to Thailand, before taking a flight to Iran.
They avoided land routes through India and Pakistan on safety advice and are expected to arrive in Medina by next July. – BOOM!
