Actress and former member of the group Good Day, Ryu Ji-won, revealed that she has been fighting leukemia for the past three months.
In a social media post on Wednesday, Ji-won said she was unexpectedly diagnosed after being admitted to the hospital without knowing the cause.

“It’s been three months since I was confirmed to have leukemia.
The first and second treatments have been safely completed, and now I’m undergoing the third treatment,” she said.
Ji-won admitted that initially, she didn’t want to be contacted by anyone and felt trapped in a difficult situation, but the care from family, friends, and loved ones gave her renewed strength.
“There’s still one ‘big mountain’ to climb, which is hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
I want to get through it quickly, recover, and return healthier than before I got sick,” she said.
Along with the statement, Ji-won also uploaded a photo of herself in the hospital wearing patient attire and a mask, with hair loss from treatment and an IV line clearly visible.
