After nearly two decades, the iconic American rock band, My Chemical Romance (MCR) has finally confirmed Kuala Lumpur as one of the destinations for their Southeast Asia tour on April 30, 2026.
The exciting news was announced through MCR’s official Instagram account, putting an end to all speculations and teasers from local fans following the appearance of a mysterious message reading “Malaysia, are you okay?” on a giant digital billboard recently.

The concert will take place at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, though further details such as ticket prices and sale dates have yet to be announced.
Fans have flooded the comment sections with excitement, especially since this marks MCR’s return after 19 years, following their last concert in Malaysia on December 9, 2007, during The Black Parade Tour, which drew over 10,000 attendees.
MCR, formed in 2001 and hailing from New Jersey, consists of Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way.
Some of their popular songs that remain fan favorites include Welcome to The Black Parade, Helena, I’m Not Okay, and I Don’t Love You.
Besides Malaysia, their Southeast Asia tour will also cover South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. – BOOM!
