It wasn’t easy for Maxime Bouttier to face one of the most nerve-wracking moments in his relationship with Luna Maya — the moment he first met her family.
In a podcast session with Deddy Corbuzier, Maxime openly admitted that he was very nervous when meeting Luna’s mother for the first time.
“When we first met, I was definitely really nervous,” Maxime said honestly.
However, the atmosphere gradually became more comfortable. Not because of any rehearsed lines or pretending, but because he and Luna shared a similar background — both having ties to Bali.
“We both have a connection to Bali. I grew up there, and Luna also spent a lot of time in Bali. So, it made it easier for us to communicate,” he shared.
Maxime went on to say that his relationship with Luna’s mother felt quite natural and warm.
“With Mom it was nice, quite connected, good. And with her older brothers too, it was okay,” he added with a smile.
Even more heartwarming, it wasn’t just Maxime who got close to Luna’s family — now, both of their families know each other and have become comfortable together.
