Popular Indonesian singer, Lyodra Ginting suddenly became a hot topic after being accused of singing a song by famous composer, Denny Chasmala without asking for permission.
This was revealed by Denny himself, also known as Dencas, according to a Suara.com report.
“For Lyodra or Andien, I don’t mind if they use my songs. But don’t forget, they didn’t ask me first. It’s easy, just send a WhatsApp,” he said.
Dencas also stressed that this isn’t about royalties but about respect from a singer to the songwriter.
“Even cafe bands show respect. They always tell me — ‘Uncle Dencas, we perform your song every week. Thank you!’ That’s what I appreciate,” he added.
When asked about this, Lyodra tried to dodge the media.
“Oh, no, no, no… thank you,” she said quickly before her face changed when Denny’s statement came up.

Interestingly, Dencas praised Reza Artamevia as an example of a singer who always respects him.
“Reza always lets me know if she wants to sing ‘Berharap Tak Berpisah’. She knows the event organizer only pays Rp 200 thousand in royalties, but she still has manners,” he said.
For info, Denny Chasmala is the creator of hit songs like ‘Berharap Tak Berpisah’ sung by Reza Artamevia and ‘Pilihlah Aku’ by Krisdayanti. – BOOM!
