Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are now officially single. The popular Hollywood couple finalized their divorce on February 21 after a six-month legal process. The decision also saw JLo officially dropping the ‘Affleck’ name from her legal documents, marking the closing chapter of their relationship.
According to a report by Associated Press, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved their divorce settlement on January 6. Court documents revealed that both parties had resolved the matter through mediation in September 2024, avoiding a lengthy court battle like those often seen with other celebrity couples.
Although financial details were kept private, the court confirmed that there would be no spousal support payments between them, and since they have no children together, custody issues were not a concern.
Jennifer and Ben married in July 2022, but JLo filed for divorce in August 2024. It is understood that they had actually been separated for over a year before that.
Their dramatic love story began in the early 2000s, when they fell in love, got engaged, and starred together in Gigli and Jersey Girl. However, the pressure from public scrutiny led them to call off their engagement in 2004. Two decades later, they reunited and eventually married—only to part ways once again.
Ben was previously married to Jennifer Garner and shares three children with her, while JLo has been through four marriages and has twins with singer Marc Anthony. – BOOM!
