The actions of a well-known influencer couple, reportedly millionaires, who asked for public donations to organize a Hari Raya celebration recently have sparked discomfort among netizens.
Through a post on Facebook, the couple shared a request for infaq from the public, even including their personal bank account number for donation purposes.
However, netizens generally questioned the move, feeling that wealthy individuals like them should be the ones giving aid, not the other way around.
“I was shocked to see the couple, famous for flaunting their luxury and wealth, posting to collect donations. They even included their own bank account number,” wrote one user.
