The Seoul Central District Court has sentenced former NCT member, Taeil, aged 31, along with two other defendants, to 3 years and 6 months in prison for group sexual misconduct against a Chinese national woman.
The court also ordered all three to complete 40 hours of sexual violence education courses and to be registered as sex offenders in their respective residential areas.
More stringently, all three are banned from working in fields involving children and teenagers for five years.
During the trial, all three defendants pleaded guilty to raping the victim while intoxicated around June last year.
The court also issued arrest warrants for Taeil and the two other individuals.
“There is concern they might flee given that a prison sentence has been imposed,” the court stated.
This case has shocked many K-Pop fans, considering Taeil was once part of the popular group under SM Entertainment, NCT. – BOOM!
