The popular male pop singer known for his melancholic songs and emotive vocals, Fabio Asher, has now realized a long-held dream by finally getting the chance to duet with his idol, Sammy Simorangkir, through their latest single titled “BISAKAH?”.
This collaboration is not just a union of two powerful voices from different generations, but also a deeply meaningful moment that blends personal dreams with soul-touching artistry.
“I’ve been a huge fan of Bang Sammy for a long time. I used to frequently cover his songs and even served as a backing vocalist at some of his shows.
To collaborate with him is literally a dream come true,” said Fabio, clearly deeply moved.
The song “BISAKAH?” tells the story of losing someone deeply significant or facing a permanent separation with no way back.
The song poses questions like whether someone can move on with life without the presence of a dearly loved person.
Fabio admitted that the main challenge was adjusting the melody and arrangement to complement Sammy’s unique vocal strength.
“But when Bang Sammy first heard the demo, he immediately gave a positive response. From that moment, I was even more convinced that this song had to be sung with him,” Fabio added.
“BISAKAH?” also comes with an emotionally stirring music video that depicts the painful journey of accepting the reality of losing a lifelong partner forever.
This marks a significant step for Fabio following the release of his debut album “EVERLAST” last year and a series of hit songs like “Bertahan Terluka”, “Rumah Singgah”, and “Tanpa Rasa Bersalah” that have topped charts nationally and internationally.
