The Kuala Lumpur High Court yesterday ordered the seizure of assets belonging to influencer Caprice, whose real name is Ariz Ramli, after he failed to settle costs amounting to RM8,000 in a defamation lawsuit filed by a businessman.

The seizure order was issued through a writ of seizure and sale dated 3 December 2025 by Senior Assistant Registrar Qasiratul Jannah Usmani Othman, after Datuk Seri R Jeyendran obtained the court’s approval regarding his claim.
Bernama reported that the outstanding amount involved costs of RM8,000 as decided by the court on 15 October 2025, in addition to allocatur fees of RM320 up to 21 November of the same year.

Through the writ, the court allowed the seizure of the defendant’s movable assets and their sale if necessary to settle the judgment debt.
According to lawyers Muniandy Vestanathan and Afiq Yahawa, who represent the businessman, two court bailiffs went to Caprice’s residence in Mont Kiara at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday to execute the writ.
The execution was unsuccessful as there was no response at the residence, and the management confirmed that the defendant had already moved out.
On 15 October last year, Judge Datuk Roslan Mat Nor allowed an inter partes injunction and ordered Caprice to pay the costs within two weeks, but this was not complied with. Jeyendran filed the lawsuit on 21 July 2025, seeking RM3 million over alleged defamation through an Instagram post. – BOOM!
