Actress Linda Hashim expressed her disappointment following the postponement of her divorce proceedings with husband Beego, which are scheduled to resume on February 9.
Linda said she was slightly frustrated when the Federal Territory Syariah Lower Court allowed Beego to submit a defense, delaying a process she had hoped to conclude sooner.
“I’m not upset about not being divorced, but I’m disappointed because he deliberately delayed the process. I know he did it on purpose,” she told Mstar.
Linda’s lawyer, Nurul Fadzilah Kamaluddin, explained that their team had complied with all court procedures.
“As the lawyer representing her, I believe we are on the right track. We have also followed all procedures set by the court,” she said.
She added that although documents were submitted early, they faced difficulties.
“We submitted the claim and statement of demand early but received a negative response from the respondent. We had to submit it today because the previous lawyer no longer represented him.”
Linda emphasized that the postponement was not due to emotions.
“This is not about love, but he wants to delay the process. I’m his wife, I know,” she said.
For the record, Linda and Beego divorced on March 27, 2023, before reconciling on April 9 the same year. They reportedly divorced a second time a few months later but returned together briefly. – BOOM!
