Famous Indonesian dangdut singer, Ayu Ting Ting is now at the peak of her career, showered with wealth from her hard work. But who would’ve thought, before becoming a renowned singer, Ayu actually had very different dreams!
In an interview on the YouTube channel Taulany TV in November 2024, Ayu revealed she once aspired to become a civil servant and a flight attendant.
“I used to dream of being a government employee because I saw they get pensions, so it’s good for the long term,” Ayu explained honestly.
She admitted that the dream came from the view that being a civil servant was a stable career.
However, her dream of becoming a flight attendant had to be set aside because she realized her own limitations that stood in the way of pursuing that goal.
“I once wanted to be a flight attendant, but I knew I wasn’t tall enough and my IQ isn’t that high,” she said with a laugh.
That honest statement showed how humbly Ayu viewed her abilities back then, but it didn’t break her spirit to succeed in another field.
Interestingly, before becoming a professional singer, Ayu also tried her luck as a late-night quiz show host.
Now, all her efforts and life journey have paid off as she becomes one of Indonesia’s most successful dangdut singers, proving that blessings come in unexpected forms. – BOOM!
