After various viral speculations involving his family, renowned cosmetics entrepreneur, Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri finally came forward with an honest response to the controversy between his wife, Datin Seri Shahida, and actress Rebecca Nur Al-Islam.
In an emotional post on Instagram, Aliff stressed that the issue is not for entertainment but a family matter that needs to stop immediately.
“I plead with all bloggers and reporters to help me stop everything going viral on social media. Enough is enough with what’s been happening to my family lately. This isn’t something fun or drama content,” Aliff expressed.
Aliff also voiced his love for his family, especially his mother, Rozita Ibrahim, while admitting he’s currently in a tough situation.
“I love my family, my mom. Our family is unique but full of love. Even though we don’t share the same father, we share the same mother.”
Commenting further, Aliff revealed the pressure he’s been under while having to hide this turmoil from the public.
He also pleaded for people not to judge his family, especially his teenage siblings who are affected by their parents’ divorce.
Although he supports his mother’s decision to remarry, Aliff didn’t deny that it has also put pressure on him.
“I was so happy that my mom wanted to get married… but when things happened, I felt stressed too. Maybe I looked happy during live sessions, but for the sake of seeing my mom happy, I went along.”
“Honestly, it’s like being caught between a rock and a hard place.”
Previously, actress Rebecca Nur Al-Islam defended herself after being accused of trying to ride the fame of her brother’s marriage to Bonda Rozita. She also uploaded a voice recording of a woman, believed to be Shahida, raising the issue.
Rebecca also described the person making the accusations against her as “mindless.” – BOOM!
