Famous Indonesian actor and director, Baim Wong came forward to reveal the results of a thorough health check-up he underwent at a leading hospital in Penang recently.
Through a post on Instagram, Baim, whose real name is Muhammad Ibrahim, 44, expressed gratitude after being found free from any serious illnesses, including cancer, HIV, and mental disorders.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m healthy. No cancer, tumors, HIV, or other diseases. Just high cholesterol because I still love eating seafood, cheese, and red meat. But everything’s okay.”
Not just physical, Baim also underwent a mental health test to counter speculation from some netizens who claimed he suffered from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) following his highly publicized divorce from Paula Verhoeven in Indonesian media.
“I also took a mental health test. Alhamdulillah, I’m healthy, no mental disorders to worry about. Allah is most kind.”
In the same post, the director of the film Lembayung also shared his view that illness is a personal and sensitive matter, not meant for public spectacle.
“Illness is someone’s privacy and sometimes a wound for that person. If possible, don’t broadcast it to the public. Keep it private. Have pity on them.”
Baim stressed that when someone faces a serious health challenge, what they need most isn’t the world’s attention but understanding, protection, and loyalty from those closest to them. – BOOM!
