A popular male actor and singer was arrested by police after being suspected of physically molesting a 17-year-old female teenager at a hotel in Selangor yesterday.
According to a report by Harian Metro, the victim, who works at a café, reportedly knew the artiste while working before they met privately several times.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan, Deputy Director of the D11 Division, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, said, “The suspect brought the victim to a hotel after several meetings, and that’s when he is believed to have committed the act of sexual molestation against the victim.”
The suspect has been detained to assist with the investigation but has been released on police bail.
Siti Kamsiah also informed that the investigation papers are now being finalized, and the case is being investigated under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792). – BOOM!
