Legendary actor, Tom Cruise once again proved his acting prowess when he received a five-minute standing ovation following the premiere of the film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning at the Cannes Film Festival.
In an emotional atmosphere at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, Tom Cruise, 62, attended alongside the cast and production crew, including director Christopher McQuarrie, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Hannah Waddingham, Angela Bassett, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, and Greg Tarzan Davis.

Several viral videos on social media showed Tom walking down to the stage, greeted with unending cheers and applause.
The moment left the actor visibly moved, seen holding his chest and nodding in gratitude.
“I’m very grateful,” said Tom Cruise to the audience while shedding tears.
“I’m so thankful to be part of this franchise for three decades,” he added.
Tom also took the opportunity to express his appreciation for Christopher McQuarrie, the director who has helmed four Mission: Impossible films, including this latest one.
For the record, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is a continuation of the seventh film, originally titled Dead Reckoning – Part One.
After the screening of that film, the studio decided to change the title of the eighth film to create a more dramatic impact for audiences.
Tom Cruise reprises his iconic role as Ethan Hunt, making this franchise one of the most successful in the history of Hollywood action cinema. – BOOM!
