The dispute between Agnez Mo and Ari Bias over copyright and royalties has escalated, reportedly dividing musicians between singers and songwriters. Amid this controversy, Ahmad Dhani has emerged as a strong supporter of Ari Bias, but his actions have led some to accuse him of disrupting the music industry’s ecosystem.
However, Ahmad Dhani denied these claims and emphasized that he wants to fix the existing system to make it fairer for songwriters.

“So far, in the current ecosystem, songwriters get zero, singers get 100. So, stop, stop saying this ecosystem is being disrupted,” he said through the YouTube channel Video Legend recently.
According to him, he is not opposing the LMKM (Indonesian Songwriters Association) distribution without reason but rather wants to build a more balanced system so that songwriters can also receive their rightful benefits.
“Actually, we want to properly fix this ecosystem so that songwriters can also earn income,” he stressed.
This controversy began when the Central Jakarta Commercial Court ruled Agnez Mo guilty in the lawsuit filed by Ari Bias and ordered her to pay a fine of Rp 1 billion.
This decision sparked heated debates, as discussions about the differences between Article 9 and Article 23 in copyright law have been rare since the enactment of Law No. 28 of 2014. – BOOM!
