The local music industry is buzzing again with the release of “Kemana Ni”, a collaboration between Luca Sickta, Kmy Kmo, and Salammusik. Released under Sony Music Malaysia, this track blends hip hop and reggae while delivering a deep message about life’s direction.
This project has actually been in the works since 2018, following the success of Gong Nekara. Kmy Kmo wanted to create a song that reflects the journey of finding meaning and purpose in life.
“Salammusik was the first person we approached for this project, and he immediately supported the idea,” shared Luca Sickta.
For Salammusik, this song was a unique experience. “Luca contacted me while I was in Amsterdam. He shared the early draft of the song, and I was instantly hooked. Even though we recorded it remotely, the energy of the song remained strong.”
Interestingly, the phrase “Kemana Ni” itself is something Malaysians use daily—now transformed into a reflection of life’s journey.
“Kemana Ni” is not just a song, but a source of inspiration for those searching for direction in life.
“We want this song to be a motivation booster, especially in the morning before starting the day,” said Kmy Kmo.
