Singer Adam AF clarified that he has never abandoned his turban image, but emphasized that wearing a head covering depends on the appropriateness of the event.
He added that the turban has long been his choice, especially during worship, as it is the best way for him to show respect when facing Allah.
“Even now, I wear a turban… when praying, I want to wear the best attire to face Allah,” he told Boom!
Therefore, Adam said that the issue of him removing his turban when appearing on stage or at certain events should not be exaggerated.
He noted that netizens should not make assumptions without understanding the proper rulings.
“The turban earns you reward if you wear it, and not wearing it does not incur sin. A man removing his turban is not the same as a woman taking off her hijab,” he explained.
