Hollywood star Kristen Stewart has expressed her desire to direct a new version (remake) of Twilight—the franchise that propelled her career to stardom—with a big budget.
Kristen said she is ready to lead the remake, emphasizing her strong commitment to the project.
“Yes, absolutely. I would do it. I’m doing it. I’m committed,” she said during a live interview on Entertainment Tonight last night.
She explained that recent conversations with friends about Twilight resurfaced as television stations have been frequently airing the film series during the holiday season.
“Imagine if we had a huge budget and a lot of love and support… I would love to adapt it,” she said.
Kristen stressed that if she were to direct a reboot of Twilight, she would maintain respect for the original version.
She also praised the franchise’s first director, Catherine Hardwicke, along with all the other directors involved, expressing appreciation for their work. —Boom!
