Famous culinary influencer Khairul Aming has finally unveiled his biggest project, kept secret for a year: the construction of the Rembayung restaurant, located in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, on social media yesterday.

Khairul Aming revealed that the 8,000-square-foot restaurant cost RM4 million—his most expensive project to date.
“It was built on an empty plot of land just nine minutes from KLCC and is scheduled to open in January 2026. This is the largest investment I’ve ever made for a single project,” he wrote on Instagram.
He also stated that this marks the beginning of a 10-year plan as he transitions into the offline business world.

According to him, Rembayung will serve traditional village-style dishes in a unique setting.
“The restaurant incorporates wooden elements and green leaves, with a gentle breeze flowing through. Stepping inside offers a dining experience unlike any other,” he added. -Boom!
