Renowned preacher Ustazah Asma’ Harun has criticised the girl group DOLLA over their latest music video (MV), describing the content as increasingly “extreme and embarrassing.”

She expressed concern that the group appears to be compromising modesty, women’s dignity, and the nation’s image in the name of entertainment.
“Dolla, is this what we are proud to showcase as the face of our entertainment industry? Dolla, please change. The longer it goes on, the worse it gets more revealing, more provocative, more embarrassing. What is being displayed is no longer an art form. It has reached a level of a ‘dark site’ or nightclub performance, but done openly in the name of art,” she said on Facebook this morning.
She further stressed that DOLLA’s outfits and dance movements should not be seen as examples to follow, adding that it is especially disheartening that one of the members is Muslim.

Asma’ also reminded the public not to easily support immoral content or normalise sinful behaviour.
“What is wrong is seen as normal. What is forbidden becomes, ‘It’s okay.’ What is eye-catching and inappropriate is seen as artistic. This is not a hate campaign, but a reminder for self-reflection,” she said. —Boom!
