Malaysian singer Dafi has opened up about the painful experience of being a victim of body shaming, which deeply affected his emotions and overall well-being.

Sharing his struggles, Dafi said that although he would smile whenever people mocked his weight, he often broke down in private once he was home.
“I once reached 97 kilograms. People would ask about my waist size and weight. When I told them, everyone laughed, and I laughed along. But when I got home, I cried in the bathroom. I have truly experienced body shaming,” he said.

Dafi, whose real name is Gadaffi Ismail Sabri, admitted that those experiences left a lasting impact, pushing him towards extreme dieting methods.

He revealed that he once resorted to weight-loss pills in an attempt to control his weight.
“I’ve gone through the phase of taking slimming pills. Ten years ago, I used to take diet pills every single day,” he shared.

He emphasized that slimming pills are not a real solution, stressing that weight often rebounds easily. Dafi advised others not to take shortcuts when it comes to health and weight management. —Boom!
