The 10-year marriage between singer Nubhan and his wife, Dr. Afifah—better known as Dr. Fie—has officially ended after the couple finalized their divorce with two pronouncements of talaq at the Sepang Syariah Subordinate Court today.
The ruling was delivered by Syariah Court Judge Tuan Umamuddin Yunus, following Nubhan’s admission that he had issued two divorce pronouncements outside the court.
According to Nubhan’s lawyer, Mohd Redzuan Ramli, the singer had previously issued the two pronouncements on separate occasions.
“Nubhan confirmed two divorce pronouncements made outside the court, and the court validated the first pronouncement on 19 January 2017, with reconciliation occurring on 21 January 2017. The second pronouncement took place on 26 August 2025,” he said, as quoted by MStar.
Afifah is believed to have completed her iddah period of three menstrual cycles.
“The court has verified both the divorce pronouncements and the reconciliation. Fie was instructed to undergo the iddah process starting 26 August, which may already be completed,” he added.
Meanwhile, Fie’s lawyer, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kadir, stated that they are prepared to negotiate with Nubhan regarding issues of matrimonial property division, mutaah (conciliatory gift), and child maintenance.
The couple, who married in 2015, share three children together.
