External perspectives, including negative criticism, should be accepted openly as they offer different viewpoints that can improve the quality of work, says Datuk Yusof Haslam.

He stressed that the younger generation, especially producers, should not get too comfortable with their own success, as the experience of industry veterans remains the most valuable asset.
“We cannot get carried away. Some outside opinions may seem harsh, but the experience of senior figures is invaluable. Young people lack management experience,” he told Boom!

He advised young producers to stay open-minded, listen to feedback, and learn from senior experience, particularly in management and decision-making, to ensure the industry’s continuity and maturity.
A strong fighting spirit and humility, he added, should also be guiding principles for young producers aiming for long-term success.

According to the KL Gangster producer, the new generation should not see themselves as the best, but always be ready to learn and address their weaknesses.
“Your fighting spirit must be strong. Never think you are the best. Whatever task you take on, it must be done with integrity. There must be integrity within us,” he said.

He also emphasized that hard work, sincerity in carrying out responsibilities, and a solid sense of integrity are crucial foundations for building credibility and trust, which are key to long-term success in the creative industry. -Boom!
