Yayasan KRU continued its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by organizing a special program for orphans and asnaf from the Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Yatim & Miskin Muhammad Al-Fateh, Bangi, recently.
The program, held at Wetland Studios Putrajaya (WSP) on July 12, was attended by 25 participants aged between 5 and 17 years, accompanied by six caregivers.

According to Yayasan KRU’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim, they were deeply heartened to see the joy radiating from the participants’ faces as they enjoyed various exciting activities offered at WSP.
“The most important thing is that we want to see them happy.
Witnessing their excitement firsthand is more than enough to make us happy,” said Dato’ Norman.
He added that Yayasan KRU is currently prioritizing orphanages and care centers located nearby due to logistical and transportation cost considerations.
“Our sponsorship focuses mainly on entry tickets to WSP as well as food and drinks.
So, it’s easier if the target group is within a close distance,” he explained.
Commenting on the challenges of organizing such programs, Dato’ Norman admitted that the diverse age range of participants is one of the main constraints.

“Most of them are still in school, so this program is only suitable during school holidays or weekends.
However, those are also peak days at WSP with large crowds of public visitors,” he said.
At the same time, he shared that Yayasan KRU aims to make such programs a monthly event, hoping to involve more external sponsors willing to contribute.
“Insha-Allah, we will hold it more frequently with the support of external parties who wish to contribute,” he said optimistically.
Dato’ Norman also emphasized WSP’s commitment to consistently delivering three key messages to visitors: ‘Love Animals, Save Trees, Conserve Water.’
For information, Wetland Studios Putrajaya (WSP) is now one of the must-visit edutainment destinations in Putrajaya.
