Indonesia’s phenomenal band, Peterpan is set to grace the music stage again after over a decade of absence with the upcoming The Journey Continues concert, scheduled for August 31 in Bandung, Indonesia.
The official announcement by the organizer, Aloka.id, via Instagram has sparked excitement among their loyal fans, known as Sahabat Peterpan.
“That name once filled your days, and its songs remain timeless in your memories.
Now, a journey begins anew,” wrote Aloka.id in their post.
The concert is described as a nostalgic moment for fans who miss iconic hits like Topeng, Ada Apa Denganmu, and Menghapus Jejakmu.
Although details about the full lineup of members have yet to be announced, many are confident it will be the emotional comeback fans have long awaited.
Peterpan, formed in the early 2000s, once recorded sales of over 9 million album units, making them one of the most influential bands in Southeast Asia at the time.
However, in 2012, the group officially changed its name to Noah due to copyright issues over the name Peterpan, which was owned by two former members, Andika and Indra.
Since then, Peterpan was considered ‘officially over’ in terms of its name, though its musical spirit lived on through Noah.
The original Peterpan lineup consisted of Ariel (vocals), Andika (piano), Indra (bass), Lukman (rhythm guitar), Reza (drums), and Uki (lead guitar).
Now, with the announcement of this concert, fans are holding high hopes to witness a historic moment that might reunite all the original members on one stage. – BOOM!
