The band Exists shared encouraging updates about their vocalist, Mamat, whose real name is Mohd Ali Kamarudin, who is now healthier after nearly a year of treatment and rehabilitation at Persatuan Pengasih Malaysia (PENGASIH) in Bentong, Pahang.
According to Exists member Ajai, the wardens reported that Mamat has become an icon at the center and is showing significant positive changes.

“From what we’ve heard, many positive developments have been seen in Mamat in a short time.
Although he’s following the program, the most important thing is his own heartfelt desire to change,” said Ajai during the Exists Premium Live @ PJ press conference at IOI City Mall.
Exists also announced their special concert, Exists Premium Live @ PJ, set to take place at JioSpace, Petaling Jaya, on October 4.
The concert is promised to be a premium and more intimate experience with fans.

Another member, Musa, said that 80 percent of Mamat’s transformation comes from his own inner strength, while external support plays a small but important role.
“We don’t want people to see Mamat as a failed subject.
Alhamdulillah, now we can communicate with him normally, and he’s becoming more positive,” he said.
Mamat was previously embroiled in a drug abuse issue and faced charges in 2019. However, he succeeded in his appeal against the conviction and sentence on July 8 last year.
Regarding the possibility of Mamat joining the Exists Premium Live @ PJ concert, Ajai explained that they have planned to ‘save’ Mamat for an Exists reunion project next year. – BOOM!
