“No more colorful dishes like this for me and Sky,” he shared, holding back tears.
Ridzuan added that his late wife was someone very independent and didn’t like burdening others.
“She didn’t let me help with whatever she wanted to do, she loved doing it herself. Even the plates and bowls, she wouldn’t let me wash them. If I did it anyway, she’d wash them again,” he said, recalling memories.
Ridzuan also shared that even though they had a maid, his late wife still wanted to do almost all the housework herself.
“She didn’t want a maid, except every Friday, and even then, only for four hours. Before the maid came, she’d make sure the house was clean. The maid just mopped, swept, wiped mirrors, and ironed clothes. Everything else, she did herself.
Her heart was so noble. In fact, before the maid arrived, she’d prepare food and drinks for her,” explained Ridzuan.
This sharing touched the hearts of many netizens, who praised Akiko’s hardworking, loving, and humble nature.
Previously, Akiko, 51, passed away at their home in Subang Jaya on February 28. The police later confirmed that she was a Japanese woman who died after falling from the fourth floor of a condominium. Authorities also confirmed there were no criminal elements in the incident.
The couple tied the knot in 2009 and were blessed with a son, Sky Taizo Okumura.
May Ridzuan and Sky continue to find strength to face this huge loss. – BOOM!
