The name Emma Maembong, 33, has once again drawn attention after a viral video showed the actress entering a club in Sarawak.
She later came forward to explain the situation after several portals blurred her face, turning it into a mystery.
“I don’t understand why people like to add things on and exaggerate to the point of wanting to blur my face.
“I went to Sibu for a music video shoot and coincidentally DJ Kidd was spinning there, so I went to watch,” she said in a video uploaded on social media.
Aware that she is a public figure, Emma also explained that she entered the club without hiding her identity.
“I went into the club myself, without wearing a face covering or a hat because I wanted to watch him spin. When people recorded me, I waved. Because I knew many were recording and I allowed them to record.
“I wasn’t hiding under a table, it would be different if my face was caught like that. Then it spread.
“For me, I allowed it and there was no need to blur my face and make it a guessing game about which actress it was, when I entered happily.
“And many people in Sarawak, Sibu are kind and they don’t think negatively,” she said.
Kidd, meanwhile, left a comment on an entertainment portal regarding the status of their relationship.
In the comment, he joked that he would become Emma’s husband one day.
“No need to blur her face either… let her support her future husband spinning. When I become a fisherman one day, I’ll take her to the river instead,” he said. – BOOM!
