Deutsche Welle reported that the funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. (10:00 GMT) on Friday in Rome.
The Italian Prime Minister was among the first to pay tribute, praising Valentino as an Italian fashion icon and stating that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations:
