Actress and humanitarian activist, Ardell Aryana shared a nerve-wracking experience faced by the Gaza-bound humanitarian mission team after a drone approached their ship.
According to Ardell, whose real name is Nurul Hidayah Mohd Amin, the incident occurred around 10:26 PM, forcing them to hurriedly leave their cabins following instructions from the ship’s captain.
“At 10:26 PM, we had to rush to put on our shoes to get out because there was a drone above us. Pray for us so the ship we’re on can continue its mission. We were asked by the captain to prepare our passports and go to the upper deck,” she said.
Representing Cinta Salam Malaysia, Ardell explained that the drone was believed to be monitoring them and was hovering directly above the boat carrying the mission participants.
“We believe it was just a surveillance drone from nearby countries.
Still, sending a drone toward a ship on a humanitarian mission is a psychological tactic to weaken the participants,” she added.
Despite facing this tense situation, Ardell continued to pray for strength for herself and the team throughout the mission.
“Pray for us to stay strong in facing this challenge,” she added.
The frightening moment deeply touched many who are following the progress of the humanitarian mission, prompting them to express support and prayers for Ardell’s team to safely reach their destination. – BOOM!
