BLACKPINK’s Rosé made history as she was crowned the winner of Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2025 for her hit collaboration with Bruno Mars, titled APT.
With this victory, Rosé became the first K-pop artist to win a major category in VMAs history.
Rosé, who looked stunning in a shimmering gold gown, couldn’t hide her shock as she spoke on stage.
“I can’t believe this. This moment feels like a reward for all the effort that’s been put in,” she said.
This year, Rosé also achieved a personal milestone with eight nominations, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, and Best Direction.
Meanwhile, all BLACKPINK members were nominated in the Best K-pop category for their respective solo songs.
Her bandmate Lisa further proved her global influence by securing her third trophy for the song Born Again with Doja Cat and Raye.
Rosé’s win not only made K-pop fans worldwide proud but also solidified BLACKPINK’s position as the most influential global female group today. – BOOM!
