Renowned Indonesian singer, Rossa is now challenging herself by venturing into acting with the latest romantic film titled Tak Ingin Usai di Sini, directed by Robert Ronny.
Interestingly, Rossa not only appears as an actress but also lends her voice to the film’s theme song titled ‘Aku Baik Saja‘.

Although initially hesitant about her own abilities, Rossa eventually agreed to participate because the role offered was to play herself.
“I’m not good at acting. But here, I’m acting as a singer, as Rossa.
Oh well, if it’s as Rossa, that’s okay,” she explained during a press conference after the film’s premiere in Jakarta on Wednesday (May 28, 2025).
In the film, Rossa plays a singer searching for a new song that truly resonates with her soul. The story becomes intriguing when she discovers a song that starts with the phrase “astagfirullahaladzim” and is determined to find out who the singer behind that unique voice is.
“In this story, I’m looking for a song. Then I come across one song, and I think, ‘Wow, whose voice is this?’
Eventually, my assistant tells me, and we set out to find the real singer of that song,” Rossa elaborated.
Rossa added that the story actually reflects the reality of her life as a singer who is constantly searching for songs that truly touch the heart.
“In real life, finding a song isn’t easy either.
The process is more or less like what’s shown in the film,” she said.

The theme song ‘Aku Baik Saja‘, written by Monty Tiwa and composed by Andi Rianto, also had a profound emotional impact on Rossa.
“When Mr. Monty writes lyrics, it feels like being poisoned… the sadness is so piercing.
From the start, I knew this song would become a beautiful piece,” she said.
One particularly touching lyric about the memory of a loved one’s voice made Rossa realize how important it is to record the voices of family members as keepsakes.
“Faces and behaviors, we’ll always remember. But over time, we forget their voices.
So now, with my siblings and parents, I always send voice notes – so there’s a recording of their voices,” she added.
The film Tak Ingin Usai di Sini tells the special story of Cream (Vanesha Prescilla) and K (Bryan Domani), who grew up together and harbor feelings of love. However, K hides a major secret that he is battling a chronic illness and quietly plans a beautiful farewell.
The film stars a lineup of popular actors including Vanesha Prescilla, Bryan Domani, Davina Karamoy, Rayn Wijaya, Indian Akbar, Asha Assuncao, Jinan Safa, Anya Zen, Tanta Ginting, Rossa, and Rukman Rosadi. – BOOM!
