Bong Joon-ho, the visionary director behind the Oscar-winning film Parasite (2019), is back with his latest work, Mickey 17! This space thriller is quickly becoming the talk of the town, and a new clip shared by Warner Bros. Pictures on social media has only added to the excitement of fans.
Fan reactions? Everyone agrees that Ruffalo is truly nailing the villain role!
“For someone who once played a superhero, Mark Ruffalo is really great as a villain,” said one fan.
Moreover, many are excited to see many Pattinsons in one movie!
“This looks awesome! People sleep on Pattinson, but he’s fantastic in all his movies. Can’t wait to see Mickey’s wreaking havoc!”
Based on the novel Mickey 7, the film features Pattinson as Mickey, an expendable clone sent to colonize a dangerous ice planet. Each time he dies, a new version is created to continue the mission. Mickey 17 refers to his 17th iteration, but this time, his life may truly be at risk.
The shared clip introduces both Mickey 17 and Mickey 18, where the latter’s memory is wiped—showing the emotional and psychological burden of being resurrected repeatedly.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Bong Joon-ho’s touch in this film.
Starring a stellar cast including Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, and Toni Collette, Mickey 17 is expected to be a must-watch for any sci-fi fan! – BOOM!
