The owner of renowned local handbag brand, Christy Ng, revealed that she is willing to spend over RM30,000 a month to ensure her office pantry is fully stocked and comfortable for her staff.
Through a social media post, Christy explained that this initiative is a gesture of appreciation for employees who spend a significant amount of their time at work.
“It’s very important for me to provide all facilities in the office because staff spend a lot of time here, eight hours a day, some even 12 hours,” she explained.
As an employer, she considers providing basic necessities like food and other amenities as her responsibility.
“As an employer, at the very least, I need to provide the basics.
If possible, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also provided,” she said.
Christy also shared that her office pantry is now equipped with various personal essentials like sanitary pads, hand wash, shampoo, and bathroom facilities for showering.
More surprisingly, she jokingly remarked that if possible, she would want her staff to stay at the office.
“If I could, I wouldn’t want my staff to go home, just stay at the office,” she said casually.
Christy Ng’s efforts have clearly earned praise from many for her willingness to invest heavily in her employees’ well-being. – BOOM!
