Preacher Asma’ Harun has criticised the actions of influencer Sasha Abdul Aziz following her promotion of a laser treatment to tighten the vagina on social media.

She explained that vaginal tightening procedures done for cosmetic purposes or personal satisfaction are forbidden (haram), as they alter Allah’s creation and involve exposing a woman’s private parts without necessity.
Asma’ cited the opinion of Dr. Soleh Muhamad al-Fawzan, who stated that vaginal surgery is only permitted for medical reasons such as deformities caused by accidents, illness, or muscle weakness that affects vaginal function.

She stressed that vaginal looseness is a natural process resulting from ageing and childbirth, and that the ruling depends on intention — whether it falls under dharuriyah (essential necessity) or tahsiniyyah (enhancement or beautification).
Previously, influencer Sasha Abdul Aziz had uploaded a post on Threads about undergoing the laser treatment aimed at tightening vaginal muscles.

In the post, she revealed that it was her first time undergoing the procedure
Saying it was scary but not painful, while also promoting the treatment.
However, Sasha acknowledged the advice given by Asma’, admitted that the topic was sensitive, and promised to be more cautious with her future posts.
“I understand this is a sensitive topic. I was sharing my journey as a mother honestly about women’s health after childbirth. Seeing that it is considered haram, I’ve learned something new.
“I will reduce such sharing. My intention was not to offend anyone, and I have taken the post down,” she said. – BOOM!
