Actress Kate Winslet has blamed social media for driving some people to become obsessed with plastic surgery in pursuit of Instagram “likes.”

In an interview, the Titanic star expressed her shock at this phenomenon, particularly among young people.

According to Kate, social media creates a false idea of perfection, making individuals afraid to be themselves.
“What is the idea of perfection that everyone wants? I blame social media and its impact on mental health. Oh, it’s frightening. I think: No, not you! Why?” she said, as reported by The News International.

At 51, Kate revealed that she is not a fan of diet pills and expressed concern over people idolizing their appearance excessively.
“You don’t actually know what someone looks like from their eyebrows, mouth, eyelashes to hair. Individuals are afraid to be themselves,” she added.

Kate also emphasized that she has never undergone any facial surgery or injections and urged the public to be aware of the dangers social media poses to self-image. -Boom!
