Entrepreneur and social media influencer Ridzuan Ridzokumura claimed that money belonging to his late wife, Allahyarham Akiko Okumura, worth between RM60,000 and RM70,000, has gone missing from his home.
In a live TikTok session, Ridzuan revealed that the money was believed to have been taken by someone who visited his house after his wife’s passing late last month.
“So heartless, even the money of a deceased person they’d take. Not an outsider, but people around me.
The ones who came were friends, police, doctors, forensics, and so on,” he expressed with a disappointed tone.
However, Ridzuan stressed that he’s not directly accusing anyone, though he described the act as a huge wrong.
“I’m not blaming anyone, it’s my fault for not keeping the money safe. But the person who took it is definitely wrong — wrong to the late wife and to God. If she doesn’t forgive them, then they’re not forgiven.”
According to him, the money was their savings after returning from Japan last February and was kept in two envelopes inside a bag belonging to his late wife.
He only noticed the loss a few days ago.
Even more frustrating, the closed-circuit television (CCTV) in his house wasn’t working, leaving him unable to identify the person responsible.
Previously, on February 28, Allahyarham Akiko, a Japanese citizen in her 50s, passed away after falling from the fourth floor of a condominium in SS16 Subang Jaya.
Her body was laid to rest at the USJ22 Islamic Cemetery in Subang Jaya on March 2. – BOOM!
