After six years of waiting, Marvel Studios finally announced the full cast lineup for the movie ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, set to hit theaters in May 2026.
In an epic five-hour announcement, fans were shocked by the presence of big names including Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, who were previously famous for their roles in the ‘X-Men’ franchise.
Not stopping there, Robert Downey Jr. was also confirmed to return, but not as Iron Man — instead, he’ll take on the main villain role, Doctor Doom!
“It all leads to Doom. #AvengersDoomsday is now in production,” Marvel said in an official message accompanying the announcement.
On top of that, popular names like Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) are also back for this film, expected to be as huge as ‘Avengers: Endgame’, which previously raked in a global box office of $2.8 billion.
With ‘Doomsday’ set to be the closing chapter for more than a dozen earlier Marvel films, fans are now buzzing to see how this story will wrap up.
Will Doctor Doom become the Avengers’ biggest threat? Let’s wait and see. – BOOM!
