Famous American singer, Chris Brown has finally been released on bail by a London court after being charged with an unprovoked assault at a nightclub in 2023.
According to reports, the Grammy-winning star has not yet been required to enter a plea regarding the charge.
Although he did not appear at Southwark Crown Court, the judge ordered that Chris Brown pay a security bail of £5 million, with £4 million due immediately and the remaining £1 million to be settled within seven days.
This bail money serves as a financial guarantee to ensure the accused’s return to court. If the bail conditions are breached, the funds could be forfeited.
Chris Brown was previously detained after being accused of injuring a music producer with a tequila bottle at Tape Nightclub in Mayfair, London.
He was arrested in Salford last week and held in custody before finally being granted bail on Wednesday.
His world tour is scheduled to begin in Amsterdam on June 8, followed by performances in Manchester, London, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Glasgow in June and July. – BOOM!
