The popular singer of Bea Sobar Bea, Eda Ezrin, finally breathed a sigh of relief after being fully released from Narathiwat Central Prison, Thailand, on Wednesday.
“Ready to start a new life,” she said simply.
The release came after the court rejected the prosecution’s request to extend the appeal period against the decision to free Eda and five others.
Also released were Eda’s husband, Mohd Affendi, and four other friends who were detained during a raid at a hotel in Sungai Golok on November 1 last year.
At the time, they were arrested after being found in possession of 6,000 ecstasy pills.
Although they were acquitted of the charges last March, Eda and the others remained in detention for several more months while awaiting a possible appeal process.
Now, with the court’s official decision to reject the appeal, Eda Ezrin is finally fully cleared of all charges. – BOOM!
