Indonesian actress and model, Erika Carlina has once again become the target of widespread criticism after revealing that she is pregnant with a child out of wedlock.
Despite receiving support from her family, her admission was not well-received by a large portion of netizens who believe her actions seem to normalize a negative culture.
Many social media users expressed their displeasure and called for Erika to be boycotted, just like her former partner, DJ Panda.
“Both of them are at fault. It’s not about sympathy; this was their choice.
Don’t make out-of-wedlock pregnancy something normal,” said one user firmly.
According to them, if DJ Panda could be condemned and canceled from several events, Erika should face the same consequences for being equally involved in the issue.
Previously, Erika admitted that she is currently nine months pregnant and expected to give birth in August.
Her revelation was accompanied by claims that her former partner only saw their relationship as a publicity stunt and had once threatened to ruin her career.
On Monday, DJ Panda, whose real name is Giovanni Surya Saputra, finally confirmed that he is the father of Erika’s unborn child.

He said they started dating in November last year, and an incident of intoxication from alcohol was the starting point of it all.
Following this admission, several event organizers reportedly canceled DJ Panda’s participation in their events as a reaction to the controversy. – BOOM!
