Singer Nubhan has filed a custody claim (hadhanah) at the Shah Alam Syariah High Court following his separation from wife, Dr. Afifah Hidayah Ahmad Tawfek, in September.

According to his Syariah lawyer, Mohd Redzuan Ramli, the legal action involves two separate claims one for full permanent custody and another for interim custody.
“Mr. Nubhan has made two applications, one for absolute custody and another for interim custody. Both are still under confidential clauses that cannot be disclosed. The custody rights in question include overnight stays, visitation during festive seasons, schooling arrangements, and other related matters,” he told Utusan Malaysia.
Redzuan also confirmed that the defendant’s legal representative has been informed and both parties have agreed to discuss a peaceful resolution.

At present, their three children Aafiya Kamilia (7), Ahmad Aaffan (5), and Afzan Nayille (4) remain under their mother’s care. However, Nubhan is still allowed to visit them.

The former Akademi Fantasia Season 6 (AF6) contestant has also filed for the confirmation of two divorce pronouncements and one reconciliation pronouncement against Afifah at the Sepang Syariah Lower Court.

The court has set December 2 as the mention date for the confirmation of the divorce pronouncements filed by Nubhan. —Boom!
