Petaling Jaya Shariah Lower Court – Singer Datuk Nora Ariffin has withdrawn her divorce petition against her husband, Dr. Rushdi Ramli.

The decision was made by Shariah Judge Ahmad Faizul Ashar after the withdrawal application was submitted by Nora today.
According to the Shariah lawyer representing Dr. Rushdi Ramli, Azmi Mohd Rais, Nora submitted several conditions before making the withdrawal application, including the cessation of any interference from third parties.

The court subsequently approved the application and recommended that Nora file an injunction and take legal steps if necessary.
“Alhamdulillah, today the plaintiff, Datuk Nora, is withdrawing this case and wishes to continue the marriage with the defendant.
“Before the withdrawal application was made, she requested that this withdrawal be conditional, which is no interference from third parties.
“Therefore, the Shariah Judge approved the application and advised Datuk Nora that she has the right to file a restraining injunction against any third party and file a harassment case in civil court if necessary.
“As for the defendant, he is very grateful and happy with today’s decision. Alhamdulillah,” he was quoted as saying by BH Online.

Dr. Rushdi also expressed his gratitude regarding the decision and declined to comment further.
“I don’t have many comments, but this decision is as expected. Alhamdulillah. Datuk Nora is ready to withdraw this claim and, God willing (Insya-Allah), I will carry out the stated conditions,” he said. -BOOM!
